QRSD implements high quality research based academic curricula to support all learners. We currently implement a core literacy program -Into Reading, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and a core math program - Eureka Math, published by Great Minds. Curriculum for Social Studies and Science are teacher developed and enhanced with online resources such as Mystery Science, IXL, Reflex Math, Discovery Education and more.
In order to ensure that students are on track academically, we implement benchmark assessments in the areas of literacy and math. These assessments occur minimally three times per year and progress monitoring may occur in between periods if needed.
All QRSD elementary schools offer a robust Multi Tiered System of Support for academics. Based upon review of student data, students may be provided with additional interventions or enrichment.
