Hardwick Elementary School is situated in the Hardwick village of Gilbertville. HES is set back from Rt. 32 among working farmland and local wildlife which surrounds the school.

Hardwick Elementary School has a warm and welcoming environment for all who enter its doors. Students engage with their classroom teacher each day, and in addition, they participate in a variety of special classes each week, which include: physical education, art, music, and STEM. The students enjoy recess on the David Huntress Memorial Playground, blacktop area, or the lower fields which are also located on the school grounds.

At Hardwick Elementary School our students and staff engage in many fun and exciting activities!  We have several Principal and teacher reading challenges throughout the year!  This past year the students read 1000 books in our Principal Reading Challenge and the principal KISSED A PIG!  Any student that read 10 books within this challenge earned a “Golden Token” which they could put into our Inchy Bookworm Book vending machine and receive a free book!

Each month we celebrate our “Student of the Month” and “Perfect Attendance” at a school-wide assembly.  Each month we choose a new character trait that we look for in our students and kindness is a character trait that we celebrate every month because we strive to always show kindness in all that we do.
