Our fifth graders are beginning to show their independence and confidence as leaders. Our younger learners look up to them as role models and our students take this responsibility seriously. In the classroom, they are focused on learning as they are building their skills to become successful middle school students. They are seeing the applications and connections between math and science. They are able to solve complex multi step word problems and explain how they did so. They can write with purpose, understanding and voice. Fifth grade is a special year as students have the opportunity to attend Nature’s Classroom and experiential learning experience.
